Hebrews 8:6 (NKJV)

6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better

covenant, which was established on better promises.

Colossians 3:1-3 (NKJV)

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at

the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you

died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

John 3:14 (NKJV)

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted

up,

Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV Strong's)

2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him

endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

FOUR KEY POINTS TO NOTE FROM HOW JESUS HANDLED HIS FINAL CHALLENGE

⁃ who for the joy that was set before Him - THE PROMISE

⁃ endured the cross - THE TRIALS & THE PROCESS

⁃ despising the shame - THE FOCUS

⁃ and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God - THE ATTAINMENT PROMISE

ITS TIME TO ALIGN YOUR THOUGHTS AND WAYS GOD’S

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV)

8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD.

9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

So are My ways higher than your ways,

And My thoughts than your thoughts.

NOTE ALMOST THE SAME KEY STEPS THAT DAVID TOOK TO DEFEAT GOLIATH

1 Samuel 17:10-11 (NKJV)

10 And the Philistine said, "I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight

together."

11 When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly

afraid.

1 Samuel 17:26 (NKJV Strong's)

26 Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, "What shall be done for the man who

kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised

Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?"

1 Samuel 17:36-37 (NKJV Strong's)

36 Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of

them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God."

37 Moreover David said, "The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw

of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine."

And Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you!"

1 Samuel 17:45 (NKJV Strong's)

45 Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a

javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom

you have defied.

YOU ARE BEING CALLED TO ARISE AND SHINE

The darkness that is covering the earth these last days is a call for the believer to arise and shine.

Today’s world desperately needs your light. Raise your expectation for God to perform wonders

through your life.

(Isaiah 60:1-2)

1 Arise, shine;

For your light has come!

And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,

And deep darkness the people;

But the LORD will arise over you,

And His glory will be seen upon you.

Faith gives you the right to expect God’s manifest goodness!

1. Your expectations must become your inspiration.

2. Set your expectations on the Lord and not on your efforts.

3. Pitch your expectations to levels where only God can take you.

4. Your expectations must be strong enough to see beyond your temptations.

5. Your expectations must become the reason why you cannot give up.

6. Your expectations must create a sense of joy and peace within you.

7. Your expectations must enable you to overcome the pains of waiting.

Why people often low expectations

1. Lack of faith, wrong believing and low morale.

2. The world discourages high expectations for fear of disappointment.

3. People tend to focus on their misery. Misery feeds your pain it does not fix it!

4. People who have suffered multiple disappointments and hurts tend to avoid expectation of

good.

5. Poor revelation of the goodness, love and faithfulness of God!

Declare over and over: Lord, You are good and you do only good! (Psalm 119:68)

Psalms 62:5-8 (AMPC)

Now, make a bold declaration of your expectation on the Lord:

5 My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from

Him.

6 He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved.

7 With God rests my salvation and my glory; He is my Rock of unyielding strength and

impenetrable hardness, and my refuge is in God!

8 Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your

hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly

think of that]!
