IN TIMES OF TROUBLE, GOD INVITES YOU TO STAY CLOSER TO HIM FOR COMFORT,

REASSURANCE AND DIRECTION

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NKJV Strong's)

Comfort in Suffering

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all

comfort,

4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any

trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NLT)

God Offers Comfort to All

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source

of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are

troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

COMFORT: Greek - parakaleō; to call near, i.e. invite, to call to ones side.

WITH THE GOD OF GRACE ITS ONLY YES AND AMEN

2 Corinthians 1:18-21 (NKJV)

18 But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ,

who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in

Him was Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God

through us. 21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God,

Yes - God’s willingness, desire, thoughts and plans for you, fully accessible

Amen - will be fulfilled, guaranteed to happen! Believe you receive

GOD EMPLOYS ALL THINGS TO WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD ONLY

Romans 8:28 (NKJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are

the called according to His purpose. - even those things that were saying NO are now

forced to work for good - YES...

Most believers are still looking for God’s attention or approval when it’s already granted!

THE WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE OF BLOOD MADE A DECISION BY HERSELF TO GET HER HEALING -

SHE DID NOT FOCUS ON TRYING TO GET THE ATTENTION OF JESUS, SHE JUST WENT FOR HER

HEALING! She new it was already a yes and amen!

The world’s system is based on the understanding of yes and no; God’s Kingdom is based on the

principle of yes and amen

The only NO that God gave Adam and Even was meant to keep them from a world that would say

NO to their needs!

THE FAMINE COULD NOT SAY NO TO ISAAC BECAUSE HE WAS A SON OF PROMISE

Genesis 26:12-14 (NKJV Strong's)

12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD

blessed him.

13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;

14 for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So

the Philistines envied him.

LABAN COULD NOT CONTINUE TO ENSLAVE JACOB AND TO ROB BECAUSE HE WAS A SON OF

PROMISE

Genesis 31:4-9 (NKJV Strong's)

4 So Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field, to his flock,

5 and said to them, “I see your father's countenance, that it is not favorable toward me as before;

but the God of my father has been with me.

6 And you know that with all my might I have served your father.

7 Yet your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but God did not allow him to

hurt me.

8 If he said thus: ‘The speckled shall be your wages,’ then all the flocks bore speckled. And if he

said thus: ‘The streaked shall be your wages,’ then all the flocks bore streaked. 9 So God has

taken away the livestock of your father and given them to me.

Matthew 9:35-36 (NKJV)

The Compassion of Jesus

(Luke 10:2, 3)

35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the

gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they

were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

Matthew 9:36 (AMPC)

36 When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were

bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd.

Romans 8:31-32 (NKJV )

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him

also freely give us all things?

Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV Strong's)

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual

blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
